The
weak opening A9 was taken by Slaney
Oak, who came off the rails and led from the 2nd bend. He was
returning from a 64 day break, so it was a fair effort. Act
Your Age started very slowly indeed and kept on for second. The
favvy Mistley
Hammer ran a poor race.
Feedback
made all in the H3 and in a bunch finish was joined on the line by Omeugo
Mison. The favvy Ravestock
Woody had a minor dwell up & faded on the run in.
Jim
The Butcher made most of the running in the A8, but was picked
up by Jalee
Storm on the run in. Jalee
Storm had dropped 3 grades after failing to win in her last 8
runs. Mistley
Colonel started slowly, paced up to the bend and faded on the
run in, but held second.
The S3 was an ok race to
watch, despite the low standard. Odell
Inca and Sharons
Best had a good buckle with Sharons
Best coming out narrowly on top
Perrys
Carat broke best in the A7, but was outpaced & outfought (literally!)
by Bullet
Star. Bullet
Star had a right go and escaped without a red card. This
allowed Pennys
Chives to get a lucky run and lead from half way after a slow
start. Queens
Opinion was one paced & moderate in second.
Teddy
Cool made all to land the second A7. He moved off at the first
bend and gave Georges
Girl a shoulder charge and ran out a clear winner. Centaur
Elise rode a few bumps and kept on well for second.
Jumokee
Prince broke well in the A6, but burrowed across to the rails
from his trap 3 draw & put paid to his and those of Match
on his inside. Lethal
Ruby got a clear run round on the inside and led off the second
bend. Clonbrin
Mai rode a significant bump at the second bend and came home
full of running & led near the line.
The S1 saw
a few leaders. first up was Airtech
Spur. Daphs
Girl took over on the run to the 3rd bend, but faded on the run
in. Eye
Onthe Jewel kept on and led on the run in. It was not a good
race.
Hillcross
Silk made all to land the A5. This was impressive, given that he
was returning after a 134 day break. Nellies
Choice was slow away and bumped on the run up. She bottled it at
the first bend, but came home strongly for second.
Adamant
Laser made all to land the A4, after running wide at the first
bend and riding a bump at the 2nd bend. Kid
Joker showed some middle pace and kept on for second. Pinewood
King was slow away and was crowded at the 3rd bend and couldn't
get on terms.
Beluga
cracked out and led early taking a wide path on the run to the first
bend in the second A4. So
Said He broke close behind and unleashed a real turn of speed to
take over from the 3rd bend. He ran out a very decent winner indeed.
Beluga
kept on well enough for second.
Treacle
Rose and Arry
Olt had a good battle in the A2, before Arry
Olt had a dwell up and they got stuck together. This allowed Journey
Back to get a lucky clear run and lead on the run
in.
Marked
Away set the early pace in the S2 finale, but did not see out
the trip & faded from the last bend. Blues
Wish ran on after suffering a bump at the 2nd bend and led from
the 5th bend, for a convincing success. Irate
Kate was outpaced at the 1st bend, showed some pace going to the
5th bend, but was clumsy & crowded between the last two bends.
She kept on for second. The second fav Mimicking
Meecha ran wide & slow & faded from the last bend.
