Pennys
Cleopatra made all to land the opening A9, building upon her
fair debut run last week. She again ran a bit wide at a bend or two,
but had few threats after a pile up in behind at the first bend. Johnstown
Polly got a clear run and kept on for 2nd. Talksport
Cool fell out again and couldn't get on terms.
Terry
My Pal made the early running in the H1, but again collapsed from
the last bend. Billsdad
Bill stayed on and led on the run in. Stemart
Bobby came home well and should get his head in front sooner,
rather than later.
Met
Your Match went round on the draw in the A8, but checked at the
3rd bend & faded on the run in. Aero
Matt showed some pace to the 1st bend after a modest start. He
rode a bump at the 1st bend and led from the 3rd bend for his first
win on his 4th attempt. Black
Axel plugged on for second.
Freedom
Man again showed his pleasing turn of early speed and made all
to land the P7. He's not too strong on the run in, but his early
pace should ensure he wins his share. Droopys
Giamatti was a bit outpaced at the 2nd bend, but kept on for
second, going down by half a length.
Droopys
Oi Oi made an awesome debut in the A6. He unleashed some rather
splendid early pace and destroyed his field. He'll go up two grades
for this, but he'll surely be one to follow. White
Wanda broke well, couldn't live with the winner and faded on the
run in, hanging on to second.
Tiger
Scot set a good early pace in the S1, but slowed at the 5th
& faded on the run in. Clear
Decision came from well off the pace to lead near the line. Tiger
Scot still held on for second, which doesn't say much for the
rest of them.
Newlawn
Chance made all to win the A5, for his 2nd win from 8 races. Mays
Baileysbest trapped ok, was outpaced to the 1st bend and plugged
on for second.
Roswell
Zodiac showed pace to lead at the second bend in the A4 after a
slow start. He couldn't sustain the gallop & faded on the run
in. Special
Trip led to the second & led again on the run in. He was not
fluent at the bends. Begin
To Hope started slowly, was crowded at the 3rd bend and plugged
on for second.
Witches
Petal made all the running to land a modest M3. Expert
Plan was not fluent at the bends, but plodded on for second. The
favvy Dubai
Divine fell out of the traps and never got competitive.
I
Dont Clare made most of the running to land the A3 at a very
generous price of 4/1. Largo
Lassie was outpaced at the second bend and plugged on for
second. Directors
Trick briefly headed I
Dont Clare on the back straight, but couldn't match strides with
I
Dont Clare and faded on the run in. I
Dont Clare was a decent winner.
Perceptive
Pacey picked up the gutless Secretariat
in the A2. Secretariat
appeared to have the race by the balls, but still slung it away,
running wide at the bends. Perceptive
Pacey has been a credit to connections and won his 32nd Stow
start from 112 attempts. Secretariat
was a nice pup, but has lost his way.
Black
As Coalled from the second bend to land the A1. War
Of Attrition was not fluent at the 2nd bend, but stayed on for
second, going down by a head. Reverse
Pace was not fluent at a couple of bends and could not get on
terms.
