Back to the graded stuff on Thursday, after the
tremendous Arc meeting on Thursday night
Pennys Cleopatra set the early pace in the opening P9, but ran
wide at the bends and was collared on the run in.
Droopys Houdini kept on after a slow start and led on the run
in.
Talksport Cool showed a deal of promise in second. He fell out
of the traps and was crowded at the 3rd bend, but showed pace and
came home well. He'll need to brush up on his trapping, but will
surely be winning soon.
Morell Warrior made all the running to land the H1, on his first
visit to the Stow. He was A1 at Romford and his early pace should
serve him well.
All Clued Up fluffed his lines at the start again. He showed
pace to the bend and rode a 2nd bend bump before keeping on for
second.
Freedom Man showed pace up to the bend after an average start
and led round. He also moved off at half way and held on by 3/4 of a
length from
Black Axel.
Freedom Man didn't progress as much as I expected from his
debut, but thankfully brought home the bacon.
The Wizard showed good pace to lead round in the S3. He only
holds on in the poor S3's and this wasn't as bad as some of them.
Lady Clarissa hit the front briefly at the 5th bend before
fading.
Witches Petal stayed on and took it up from the 5/6.
Never Say Lucky stayed on for second.
Toasting Jack made all to win on his debut in the A6. He
previously won one of his two races in Ireland, albeit in a modest
time. He was followed home by another debutant in
Lethal Ruby. Lethal Ruby's grand dam has thrown open racers & a
competition winner, so it may pay to keep her on the right side. The
fav
Loughteen Laura ran moderately.
Toome Point led round in the second A5, only to be outpaced &
crowded at the 3rd bend. This was his second time as a beaten fav &
he's not a young dog either.
Many Memories showed some pace to the first bend and led from
the 3rd bend.
Droopys June was a little unlucky in second, as she was crowded
when closing at the 3rd bend.
The S1 was taken by
Killeacle Hobbs, who eased at the bends, then ran on and led
from the 5th bend.
Eye Onthe Jewel plugged on for second.
Kid Joker set the early pace in the A4, taking a middle course
on the run up. However his stride shortened near the line and he was
run out of it late by
Journey Star.
Journey Star broke modestly, but showed decent back straight
pace, before getting on top close home. The fav
Leeview Lleyton (previously 1 from 11) ran poorly.
Dark Crystal set the early pace in the S2 finale. but went into
reverse from the 5th bend.
Sandy Lane cam home best and led from the 5th bend for a
convincing success.
Leaha Chuita kept on for second.
