Cunning Darby started well and led round in the H2. His stamina
did no hold out and he was headed between the last two bends and
faded on the run in.
Watercourse Boy started slowly, but came home well and led from
the 3/4 for his first Stow win on his 7th attempt.
Lodge Mentor stumbled near the third bend, but kept on for
second.
Lastinfirstout made most of the running in the S3, but was
out-stayed on the run in by
Time Connection. This wasn't much of a race.
They left it behind on
Noirs Heidi, but she made no mistake tonight. She led early
and did faded near the line, but she was comfortably clear.
Droopys Zach showed a fair bit of promise in second and should
do well from this lowly starting position.
Reachfar Delsjoy made all the running to land the A7.
Marked Away kept on for second after a slow start.
Clonbrin Sara, who has a poor strike rate, was outpaced and
badly crowded at the second bend.
Luciesilvas set a scorching early gallop (for the grade) in the
M2 and stayed on better this time to make all.
Lazy Lob stayed on for second after a slow start.
Ellron led from the 2nd bend and landed the A6.
Droopys Duffy was nit fluent at the 2nd bend and ran wide as he
came to challenge at the last bend. He held every chance and went
down by 3/4 of a length in a weak race.
Elusive Tuesday made all and was a decent winner of the P5. She
took the bends better this week and looks a progressive sort. She is
well bred.
Lodge Magic ran a fair second.
Podges Dilemma was made fav again despite a poor draw and being
a poor starter. I can't have much sympathy for those that backed him
at 7/4.
Hows Trix led up in the A4, but was outpaced by
Confident James at the 2nd bend.
Confident James showed some pace to the bend, taking a middle
course, he held on to win by a head. This was his first win and he's
not one that has caught my eye.
Cutting Edge kept on after a slow start and just failed to get
up.
Cranham Girl set a good early pace in the S1, but was one paced
from the 5th bend and was claimed by the last run of
Clear Decision.
Tiger Scot had not been taking the bends well, but looked thrown
in, in this moderate A3, which was further weakened by the
withdrawal of Courts Ad Andy.
Tiger Scot bolted out of the traps and made all for an
impressive win. He was not entirely fluent at the bends.
Bitofamonkey plugged on for 2nd. These dogs that regularly check
at the bends baffle me at times. When they hit the front early, they
seem to take the bends so much better on occasions. If someone could
explain this to me, I'd be grateful. One of the locals says to me on
these occasions "he's had the injection tonight". Can't think what
he means. :)
Lockdale Duke followed up his win last week in the A2. He broke
well enough and led round on the draw (T1). He's a decent 12 from 41
at the Stow.
Synone Rubin kept on for second.
Farloe Chisom looked lame to my eyes.
Black As Coal led off the second bend in the A1, but could not
sustain the gallop and faded on the run in.
Bell Classic broke ok, was outpaced at the second, before
staying on to lead near the line.
Reverse Pace appears to have lost his early pace. He was crowded
at the second bend and could never get on terms.
Lady Clarissa started well and led round in the S2 finale.
Daphs Girl came and picked her up and led from the 5th.
Droopys Kestrel suffered a bad bump at the first bend and stayed
on to finish 2nd. her turn must surely come soon.
Fat Man Dan didn't come away as he can and could never get on
terms.
