The H1 wasn't a great race either.
Marcus Brutus set a good early pace, but failed to see out the
trip.
Chase The Dream plugged on and led on the run in.
Ardmayle Machine stumbled on the run up, too an erratic course,
before staying on for second.
Centaur Gemstone broke best and led round in the A7.
Comeonthreedog took over at the third bend and pulled clear.
He's progressing well
Centaur Gemstone faded. After a poor start,
Wheres The Sun ran on and may have got a bit nearer had he not
been crowded at the third bend.
Moscow Megan made all to land the next A7. While it was not a
good race, she did well returning from season early.
Chadwell Scholes kept on for second after a modest start.
Treacle Satin fell out of the traps and ran a shocker.
Ellron did well to lead up from trap 3 in the S3. She made all
for her 7th win from 40 starts.
Steeple Rd Blond plodded on for second.
After showing decent pace on her debut before fading from the 4th
bend,
Lislabin Blue was surprisingly sent off 6/1. After an average
break, she paced up well top the bend and made all.
Robbies Kewell ran wide & was bumped at the start. He stayed on,
running wide at the last bend, but refused to go by. He is one to be
avoid on this running.
Lurgan Legend showed decent early pace and made all the running
in the A5. This was his 3rd win from 8 starts at the Stow. His form
was moderate in Ireland, so perhaps he'll find it tougher
progressing too much further. After a slow start,
Confident James plugged on for second.
January Sailor set a decent early gallop in the second A5. He
again took a wide course and faded near the line.
Reachfar Gifted kept on to win a moderate race.
Droopys Madam ran wide round the last 2 bends and plugged on for
second.
Swift Maggie had not been running the bends well for some weeks,
yet was still sent off Evens favourite. She has of course got a
great winning record, but ran no sort of a race here.
Droopys Attracta set the pace, but faded on the run in. Her
kennel mate
Baran Miami stayed on and led on the run in, with
Centaur Cappo finishing second.
Centaur Cappo would have been close, but for clumsily running
into trouble between the last two bends.
After a modest start,
Droopys Hamlet showed decent early pace to lead round in the A4.
He tired off the last bend and held on desperately to win.
Droopys Majella would have won, but for dwelling on the run in.
Sophie Rose set the early pace in the A3, but faded after being
headed at the 3/4. She improved a little on her recent runs.
Wise Digger showed some pace up to he bend after an average
start and ran wide at the last bend after hitting the front. This
was his 13th win from 45 Stow starts.
Largo Lassie ran a shocker.
Hoylake Claire was quickly into her stride and made all to land
the S2. My bitch
Droopys Kestrel ran a respectable race in second. She was
outpaced early, ran a bit wide at the bends (as normal) and stayed
on for second. She should be winning fairly soon.
