In the opening A9, the favourite,
Tadgells Emily ran middle on the run up and led from the second
bend. She was helped somewhat by T2 (Classy
Noble) & T3 (Wheres
The Cash), who were both very slow away,
Wheres The Cash actually walked out of the traps.
Flying Fantasy had led to the second bend and plugged on for
second place.
Strong Flow paced up to the bend well and made all in the H1.
He's been a grand servant to connections. This was his 34th win from
124 races.
Ardmayle Machine started slowly, but kept on best of the rest
for second place.
Firm Handed was crowded at the second bend.
Blackey Said So led round in the P7. She was a bit wide of the
last bend and was outpaced on the run in.
Moscow Megan turned a close second and led on the run in for her
first win from five attempts. She could go up a few more grades yet
now she has tasted success.
Moscow Megan is by 2006 Arc finalist Moscow Sandy.
Headleys Cross was a comfortable winner of a the S3. He made the
most of his plot rails draw and made all.
Bowlers Bullet was badly crowded at the first bend and stayed on
ok for second. His turn may come soon, though he is 1 from 18 at the
track.
Ellies Angel fought off the pace.
Droopys Hamlet was an impressive all the way winner of the A6.
Quickly into his stride, the race was all over at the first bend.
Georges Girl held on for second, as
Bold Talent finished well from off the pace.
Bold Talent may have fared better from T6.
Larkhill Jackie was another well backed jolly to oblige in the
A5. She was quick away and had the race won from an early stage.
Mystical Chief stayed on for second, despite easing at the 3rd
bend.
Tilly was a little disappointing on her debut as her Irish form
bared close inspection.
The M2 saw a few different
leaders.
True Frankie led to the 3/4,
Off Course took over and led to 6/7, before fading to the rear.
Rumour Has It took over and held on by a head from
Luciesilvas, who stayed on from off the pace in slow motion.
Thats My Boy led round in the A4, until moving aside at half
way.
Tenbucks Ebony swung round handy from his rails draw and paced
up to lead near the third bend.
Thats My Boy straightened up and ran him to half a length.
Terry My Pal threatened to get involved between the last two
bends, but faded on the run in.
Sparta Master has been a good servant to John Sherry. He turned
close on the heels of the early pace setter
Flying Fancy.
Sparta Master paced up to the bend ok and ran on and led from
the third bend. This was his 11th win from 39 starts at Walthamstow.
Flying Fancy kept on gamely and lost out by a neck. It remains
to be seen if
Journey North can get back to any where near his best after a
series of injuries. I was a little surprised to see him sent off
favourite here on his return.
Romford Carthree continued in his rich vein of form and landed
the S1.Silbury
Squirrel stayed on for second.
Fabregas held a decent lead until fading from between the last
two bends.
Reverse Pace led up in the A2.
All Clued Up showed good pace and took over at half way, but
could not maintain the gallop.
Reverse Pace took over again at the 3rd bend and went on to
score.
All Clued Up finished 2 1/2L second.
Sophie Rose led round in the A1. The in-form
Perceptive Pacey took over at the 3rd bend, but could not
contain
Venturemore on the run in.
Venturemore was modest away, got a clear run and paced up well
down the back straight.
Combined Team made all in the S2 finale.
Sofem kept on best of the rest to finish 2 1/2L second.
