The races were called opens, but I
shall be calling them GS races.
It was round one to
the locals as Ringview
Rascal made all for an easy success in the 430m GS maiden. Tadgh
The Chimp followed him home at a respectable distance.
In
the GS sprint, Tobys
Mate was surprisingly sent off 11/4 following his decent effort
in the last sprint held here. He cracked out and made all. Nosey
Be Two kept on for second.
Swift
N Smart ran out a ready winner in the end of the puppy GS race.
He repeated his feat of last week, seemingly losing the plot at half
way. Such was the weak nature of the opposition, he managed to get
going again and pulled away. The 29.62 winning time said it all.
Agincourt
Beau made the early running in the GS 640 race. Alexanders
Pride stayed on and led from between the last two bends. Nice to
see Ernie Gaskin return to the track. Silbury
Ruby kept on for second. Fear
Martina suffered trouble at various points, but was never
travelling.
Rio Quando ran out an impressive winner of the GS maiden.
Cavecourt Black moved to the left from his inside, leaving him
plenty of room to work with on the run to the bend.
Rio Quando was ca 4L up on
Cavecourt Black at the 3rd bend and pulled away impressively on
the run in.
Centaur Fuji ran out a convincing winner of the GS marathon. He
ran very wide at the 4th and 8th bends, but had plenty in hand.
Tipp The Breeze ran ok in second, leading from the 3rd to the
7th bend and keeping on to the line.
Erinaceous
Rapid showed good early pace in the GS 640m race and poached a
good lead. As his stamina was running out at the last bend, he was
attacked by Rockchase
James, who was shown the red card. Coolanga
Flyer stayed on and led on the run in.
Sophie
Rose made all in the next 475m GS race, from Fear
Miss Nelly, who ran rails from trap three and held every chance.
She went down by a length. Carden
Noir stayed on for third.
Paulees
Prince showed good early pace and led up in the next 475m GS race.
However, his strde shortened rounding the last few bends and in the
scramble to the line, Lockdale
Duke won by a short head from Moaning
Pacey.
Centaur
Cappo made all for a very easy win in the GS 640m maiden. Bandicoot
Kiki plodded on to finish a remote second.
