Roswell Zodiac &
Droopys Hamlet, two pups to keep on your side
Walthamstow Report
27 Sep 2007
Thursday's card was an open card, featuring the VC
Bet puppy competition. There was some real good quality pups on
show.
Buyer Beware made all in the opening A9. This was his 3rd win
from 28 Walthamstow starts. He was previously 1/11 at Crayford,
winning an A7.
Willers Lad kept on for second and held every chance.
Ardmayle Machine ran out a comfortable winner of the H1, winning
by just over 9 lengths. He had a fight at his last outing at the
track and got away with it. They have to keep them up to their work,
to attempt to keep them on the straight and narrow.
Four Minutes was crowded at the 3rd bend, but still held on to
second.
Ballinabola Bola returned from a spell of lameness and despite
running wide at the bends, had too many guns for these in the A8. He
has competed at A5, so this was a big drop in class for him here.
Go Ronnie Rocket towed him along until the run in and went down
by 1 1/2 lengths.
Barowhall Buster won the dreadful excuse for a race, the S4 in a
pedestrian 41.54.
Dubai Adventure led a field of slow starters in the A7.
Up Tempo was erratic on he run up and took over nearing the 3rd
bend. He went on to win by 2 3/4 lengths. This was
Up Tempo's first win in 7 starts. The well backed
Bell Tempest was badly crowded at the second bend, when looking
like turning in a pitch.
Roswell Zodiac and
Droopys Hamlet had a good buckle in the A6.
Roswell Zodiac got first run and always looked like he held the
edge, though there was only 3/4 of a length in it. After showing
pace in the first round of the VC puppy comp, I was amazed to see
Roswell Zodiac sent off 5-1. These are two pups to keep on your
side.
Roswell Zodiac has taken a while to get the hang of things, but
looks to me like a progressive sort.
Droopys Hamlet will be winning very soon.
The S3 was another moderate 640m race.
The Wizard made most of the running, but didn't quite see the
trip out and
Charlies Dart plodded on by on the run in.
Westridge Faith led up in the P5 and
So Said He challenged for the lead up to the 3/4 point.
Unique Picture broke averagely and kept on and took it up on the
run in.
Unique Picture was another early elimination from the VC puppy
comp.
Senahel Pandy stayed on from off the pace to finish 2nd.
Despite easing at the bends,
Swhimascharl managed to sustain the gallop on the straights and
win the A4.
Beardys Lex Anne led from the first to the 4th bend, but had no
answers when the chips were down.
Bell Imperial ran out a decent trap-to-line winner in the S1.
Fabregas was crowded at thesecond bend and finished a never
nearer 1 3/4 lengths second. (only 5 ran)
Siesta Romeo made all in the A3.
Show Vision held every chance and went down by 1/2 a length.
Blacknotblue was sent off favvy and was never at the races. He
lobbed round and still managed third.
