won a very messy H1, dwelling up at several opportunities and
winning by the narrowest of margins from Four
Minutes.
Shelbourne
Ryan led up in the first Grand Prix heat, but faded on the run
in once headed by the eventual winner in Jordans
Glory. Coolanga
Flyer kept on and grabbed 3rd.
Discreet
Cat was an impressive trap to line winner in the second Grand
Prix heat. Erinaceous
Rapid kept on for second from Eye
Onthe Power, who lacked early pace, but grabbed 3rd.
Armies
Plan set a good pace up front in heat 3, but looked outclassed
here. Big
Brett Coal was forced to check when challenging at the 5th bend
and did quite well to win. Blackrose
Chap showed some early pace, but faded on the run in and
held on for third.
Brians
Bud showed up early in heat 4, but was swamped for pace and
quickly faded from the 5th bend. Shelbourne
Thesa ran on quite well and led from the 5th bend. White
Bomber also ran on quite well for second. Like
Hot Cakes was a long 3rd.
Happy
Memories led from the second bend and pulled clear for a decent
win in the A2. Daisyfield
Matti plodded on for second.
Placid
Jill made the early run in the fifth Grand Prix heat, but lost
the plot and stopped chasing. Fear
Robben started slowly, but paced up from the first bend and led
from the 4th bend. Shelbourne
Laura challenged from the 3rd to the back straight and plodded
on for second. Cassie
was crowded at the 4th bend and kept on for third.
Fear
Martina made all to land the 6th Grand Prix heat. Butterbridge
Ali started slowly, paced up well and ran on ok to finish 1/2
length 2nd from the leader, who held on. Drimeen
Rumble lacked middle pace and plodded on for third.
Black
Rose Chick made the early running in the 7th Grand Prix heat,
but was quickly outpaced by Westminster
Taj, who led on the run to the 3rd bend and went on to score. Riverside
Yank stayed on for second. Black
Rose Chick faded on the run in, but held on for third.
Roancarrig
View showed good early pace to lead up in the final Grand Prix
heat, but was never going to stay there, as he took a massive step
up in class. Foulden
Special turned handy and gradually wound up the pace to lead on
the run to the 5th bend. He ran a bit wide at the bends, but always
looked to have plenty in the tank. Kooga
Kid ran a decent race in second and Calzaghe
Frisby kept on for third.
Tinky
Rolls led round in the closing S2, but didn't see out the trip
well enough and faded on the run in. Centaur
Fuji was crowded at the 4th bend and stayed on to win well,
leading from the last bend.
