Tuesday's card was a desperate graded affair. The
worst for some considerable time.
Double Spark,
Nanosecond and
Toumpane Katie went up in a line in the opening A9.
Double Spark eased badly and faded to the rear.
Nanosecond swung off at the bend and lost the plot.
Toumpane Katie showed the best attitude and led round and made
all.
Scorpio Branch started slowly, but turned round in second. He
showed some pace down the back straight and challenged at just the
wrong point. He was clumsy and ran into the leader, losing all
momentum and his winning chance. He picked himself up and kept on
for second. He will not be long in winning.
In the
second A9,
Verena ran middle from trap one and
Linwood Raven ran rails from trap three. They sandwiched
Megusta Manners, as all three came together. This handed the
early advantage to the wider runners and
Alders Harry cam out on top of that battle and made all. He held
on desperately as the pack closed on the run in.
Megusta Manners,
Flying Fantasy and
Linwood Raven all closed in as the leader faded and
Megusta Manners narrowly grabbed second.
The
hurdles was a nonsense of a race and you could have been forgiven
for thinking they were running around without a hare in front of
them! The lead changed a number of times and
Hes A Champ won the race in a photo from
Clearlyinmotion.
Aero Vesuvio and
Omeugo Mison were a bit unlucky as they collided at the 3rd when
close to the lead and lost all chance.
In the 3rd
A9,
Remember Bill started best, but ran wide at the bends and also
on the back straight.
Chadwell Scholes broke close in behind, took over at half way,
and went on to score.
Pessimistic Mick plodded on from the rear and won a bunch finish
for second.
In the A8,
Ballyegan Geri and
Funky Lass broke well and were locked together up to the 4th
bend.
Endofthelist started slowly, but came home much the strongest.
He led at the 4th bend and ran right away. He's one to keep on the
right side of in the coming weeks.
Ballyegan Geri kept on for second.
The second
A8 was an incident packed race.
Hillcross Tempo broke well, but ran too wide, was swallowed up
at half way and was badly crowded.
Follow Through,
Castleivy Sand and
Wonting closed in and unfortunately
Castleivy Sand clipped heals at the 3rd bend and lost all
momentum.
Wonting led at the 3rd but ran off wide at the last, handing the
initiative and the race to
Follow Through.
Ants Gunner broke best in the A7 and held a 3 length advantage
at half way from
Millie Moo.
Ants Gunner got tired and ran wide at the last bend and
Millie Moo kept on and led on the run in.
Son Of Iris ran wide at a few bends and stayed on for third.
Redec Liz came away well and led up in the second A7. She ran
wide at the first and quickly faded to the rear.
Clonbrin Sara led between the first two bends and led until
running out of gas on the run in.
Bold Talent fell out of the traps and checked at the first bend.
He stayed on and won in a bunch finish.
In the third A7,
Dapper Chick led round.
Nikray Thunder chucked off at the first bend, but showed some
pace off the second bend to lead at half way. He held on by a
short head from
Classy Pet, who showed some pace down the back straight, after a
modest start.
Brazen Warrior showed smart early pace in the A5 and made all
the running.
Eye Onthe Glory followed him round and got to within a length
nearing the third bend. He could not get on terms, faded on the run
in, and just held on for second.
Mystical Snow broke well in the second A5 and led until his
stamina gave way. He ran wide at the last bend and faded. It
looked all over as the favvy
Tenbucks Ebony led at the last, but he was gunned down on the
run in by the strong finishing
Cassie.
Only five went to post in the S2
finale. Trap two was vacant and
Ellron got a clear run and made all.
Moynevilla Robin stayed on best of the rest and grabbed second.
It was no surprise to see
Smoking Jet have another fight. It was also not surprising to
see the Walthamstow management turn a blind eye yet again, and fail
to produce a red card!
