Ballymacs
Back broke well in the hurdles H2 and held a very handy
advantage down the back straight. However, he faded and Remember
Billy caught him. Remember
Billy was slow away and was impeded round the first two turns
and did fairly well to win.
Ciarans
Prince led up in the S3 until fading and checking at the 5th
bend. I can't say I took to much notice of his race. Craigdales
Ruby won it. Can't have been much of a race.
Milldean
Buster reproduced his run of last week to the letter in the 1st
heat of the puppy comp. He produced a decent start, led up and then
folded up. He's not building on his promising few trials at
Shelbourne Park. Calzaghe
Joe kept on and led near the line. Like
Hot Cakes kept on for third spot after an average break.
Perrys
Carat made all to land the A6. Poacher
Man loomed up at the 3rb bend and probably should have won. He
challenged at the wrong point, was a bit clumsy and lost the race at
the 3rd bend. Dysert
Cara held every chance and finished 2nd. I cannot remember the
last time she won.
July
Captainled up to the 3rd in the second heat of the puppy
comp and ran well, but was a bit outclassed. Opening
Artist ran on and led at the 3/4. Droopys
Mate was bitterly disappointing and did not look too brave in
the race. Lockdale
Duke ran a shocker.
In the P6, Ortuna
broke best and was outpaced by Brians
Bud. Brians
Bud broke slowly, showed some pace to the first and got a clear
run and led off the second bend. Ortuna
plugged on for second.
Roxholme
King posted the best run in the comp by some way in heat 3. He
broke ok, came off the rails and made all. Bigwood
Sheriff was slow away, showed some pace to the first and kept on
for a fairly long second. Headford
County kept on for third and can do better from a wider draw.
They
were plenty of early cheers from the punters in the S1. Lode
Star looked well drawn on the fence. Once he led up early doors,
there was only going to be one result. Centaur
Iris kept on for second. Pennys
Crown ran wide at too many bends.
Larkhill
Jackie smashed out and made all in heat 4. Droopys
Obafemi broke modestly and got going too late. I'd stick a W on
him myself. I think he may break better. Droopys
Robster held every chance and had a bit of a dwell up.
Shrewd
Move led in the P5, ran off at the second bend and led until
fading off the last. Eye
Onthe Power got a clear run after a modest start and led on the
run in.
Addington
Ruby led round in the A2. Ballyneale
Light took a middle course and ran on to grab the lead at the
3rd bend. Lockwood
Littljo checked at a few bends again and surely deserves a rest.
Milldean
Flash broke averagely in the A1 and showed some decent early
pace to lead up. He looked to have it in the bag, but was grabbed on
the line by a determined Special
Trip, who led on the line. Royal
Officer ran a shocker.
Marked
Away made all in the last, an S2. Snappy
Girl didn't seem to be putting it all in, but only went down in
a photo. Lime
Juice was clumsy at the 5th and faded on the run in.
