Armies
Mentor made all the running to win the A8. Clonbrin
Mai was not too well away, showed some early pace, but was
crowded at the first bend. She kept on all right for second and
should win soon at this level.
Aero
Vesuvio was the third all-the-way winner on the trot in the
second thrilling A8. Nikray
Thunder plodded on for second. Willingale
broke well, eased at the first bend and plugged on for third.
Unlikely
Hotshow led up in the S3 race, but was none too fluent at a few
bends and it was no surprise to see her not hold on. Sheer
Genius lobbed round without looking too interested in getting
involved and it was left to I
Mean That to pick up the pieces on the run in.
Fat
Boy Joe was yet another to lead from start to finish in the
third A8. Surely some kind of record. Is this the BEGS racing, or
what for *ucks sake? A
Beautiful Life eased at all bends, but still managed to keep on
for second. Nobody can be betting on this, can they?
The
A7 was a very messy race. After all manner of trouble between most
of the dogs, Marathon
Girl managed to lead on the run in. Marathon
Girl herself was hammered into at the first bend and it does not
say much at all for the other runners that she managed to beat them
after this.
Issy
Bee showed up early on her step back in trip in the A6, but was
not at all fluent at the bends and had to settle for second best. Snappy
Girl did well to win on her first run back from season, albeit
in a modest time.
Mystical
Class set the early pace in the S1. but her stamina gave way and
she face from the fifth bend. The bookmakers current favourite bitch
Silbury
Ruby never looked likely to get to the front and settled for
second. She is crying out for an away day, perhaps to Harlow? Bell
Imperial took up the running at the fifth bend to win. Bell
Imperial had been contesting tougher races than this recently.
Treacle
Rose was another first time back from season winner in the A5.
She broke very well and didn't see another rival. Lizzies
Angel was outpaced to the first bend, but kept on for second.
Julies
Protege was an impressive winner of the A4 for Graham Sharp. Yet
another trap to line winner. They were drawn out in behind and Truly
Scrumtious followed her home.
There was a
number in a line on the run to the first bend in the A2. Pennys
Viva led off the second bend to win the race. Swing
Low kept on for second.
Sophie
Rose led off the second bend in the A1 and held on in a scramble
for the line. Reverse
Pace loomed up at the third bend, but appeared to have a dwell
up. He kept on and sent down by the narrowest of margins. Shelbourne
Ryan was very slow away and took an eternity to get going and
never looked likely to get on terms, despite going down by just over
half a length.
Pennys
Lindsay led in the finale (an S2), but faded to finish down the
field. Centaur
Driver was slow away, eased at the fifth bend and never got close
enough to challenge. Wheres
Natalie checked at a few bends in behind. Fionntra
Lisa took up the running to win from the 5th bend. Milwaukee
Tools ran predictably poorly yet again. He didn't run a yard.
