Lijon
Jolly led up in the opening P9, but could not contain Look
Here Dan. Look
Here Dan (Fire Height Dan-Threshers Flyer) was very slow away,
showed some pace to the first and stayed on and led at the 4th bend.
I'm very sorry to say that Special
Ace suffered a fatal injury in the race.
Treacle
Star briefly led up in the A8, before Raithby
Patricia took over until running out of gas between the last two
bends. Too
Many Miles was slow away, but challenged between the last two
turns, but may have had a dwell up. Treacle
Star was returning from season and has found herself very nicely
graded. She may need another blow out before it's time to steam in. Jeremy
came from out of the clouds to lead at the 4th turn.
Starfire
Flyer led early and made all in the hurdles H2. Star
Caddy Man caused chaos moving off at the first bend, putting
paid to many of the others chances.
Silbury
Squirrel cracked and and made all in the S2. Wheres
Natalie was very slow away, showed some pace to the 5th bend,
but then cried enough. The old plodder Scooter
Man plugged on for second.
Special
Nero broke smartly in the A7 and led until the run in. Honcho
Dan (Fire Height Dan-Highly Sought) broke modestly, clipped the
rails, but ran on well to grab the lead on the run in.
All
Clued Up was a decent winner of the A7. He made all and was
followed around by Droopys
Fefel, who never looked likely to get on terms. Smoking
Jet ran middle and hammered into Lockdale
Duke at the start.
The A6 saw Terry
My Pal lead up at the second bend after producing a modest
start, but showing some early. He got caught near the line, but this
was a big step up on his debut performance. Not
A Trace hit the front where it matters in a scramble for the
line.
Victor Chandler's Ian St Pier returned to the
Stow from an excursion in excellent form. He had taken in the Easter
cup and the Hove Sky night. I dare say that the gross national
product for beer sales in Ireland may have had an upturn! Ian
insisted that Eye
Onthe Glory was well over-priced in the A5. EOG was unconsidered
by many of the assembled "experts" in the bar. Eye
Onthe Glory produced a fair start and made all. Ardmayle
Machine was slow away, moved off and was crowded at the 1st and
clumsy at the third, but showed some pace. He'll not stay in this
grade too long.
Zaras
Luck led up in the A3, before Droopys
Fabregas swept by for a comfortable success. Droopys
Fabregas was very slow away and seemed to have plenty to do at
half way, but went into overdrive to get to the front.
Fear
Mykeo was a short favourite in the A3. However, despite leading,
she never got away from the field. Special
Trip kept on to lead near the line. ISP had this one at 10-1.
Greedy B'stard! A master class of punting.
Time
Connection made most in the finale (an S2) before Toosey
Tina took over and led near the line. Box
Of Tricks was again very wide at all bends. He dead heated for
second with Time
Connection. That must be the first dead heat for ages at the
Stow, surely?
