Droppys Kan Kanned
her rivals
Walthamstow Report
07 Apr 2007
An average graded card.
It was round one to the layers, as the opening
favourite Cheeky
Johney made the running in the opening P9, only to
run wide and faded from the last bend. Miss
Chloe was very slow away and stayed on to lead near the line.
Droopys
Fefel led at the first bend and made all from that point to land
the P8. Aero
Vesuvio went rails from trap two and put paid to both his and
the favvy Twilight
Fantasy's chances at the start. Bowlers
Bullet was clumsy between the last two bends and may have given Droopys
Fefel something to think about otherwise.
Ballymac
Daisy broke well and took a middle course to make all in the P7.
Those who had backed her had a couple of scares though. First she
checked at the sough, then she was distracted near the line and she
lost momentum. Let's hope this is a one off. Droopys
Jimmy stayed on for second. Paid
In Cash attracted money in Ireland during the day, but put in a disappointing
show, lobbing round and not really racing. Special
Nyx eased round the first two turns and ran down the field.
Shes
So Bright made all in the S2. Milwaukee
Tools lobbed round for second. Opinion was divided by the
"experts" in the bar. Some thought he does not stay and
others (including me) think she is un-genuine.
Farloe
Brigade skewed at the traps, ran wide and plugged on to lead
near the line and win the A7 as an Evens favourite. Smoking
Jet came with a threatening run, but turned his head on the run
in. Fancy
Woods led the field until fading on the run in.
Pinehurst
Silk made the early running in the A6, before Layham
Lass grabbed the lead at the 4th bend to win in a slow time. The
other joint favourite Bills
On Board, looked like he was lame to me.
Droopys
Kan Kan led her field a merry dance in the S1 and made all. Ingenious
finished 2nd and was one paced from between the last two bends.
Wise
Digger broke smartly in the A5, but went very wide at the last
bend. Im
Snoopy took the bends much more fluently this week and led at
the 4th bend.
Daisyfield
Bella broke well and led up in the A3. However, she cramped yet
again. They really should be noting this in the official comments. Royal
Officer checked at a couple of bends, but still had enough in
the locker to lead on the run in.
True
Frankie led up in the marathon but did not get the trip and
faded on the run in. I
Mean That was slow away, checked at the 4th bend, but still
managed to get on top on the run in. All
One eased at the bends and was tailed off. (Official comments
Every chance mmmmmm)
Despite having her first race back from season,
Fear
Mykeo was sent off 6/4F. She broke modestly and then unleashed
some decent early pace to lead up. However, she needed the race and
faded on the run in. Reverse
Pace broke reasonably, was not too fluent between the last two
bends, but still managed to grab the lead near the line.
Directors
Tale, Noirs
Heart and Blue
Rizzler went up to the bend close together in the A2. Noirs
Heart bottled it (or eased) at the first bend, but ran on ok
afterwards. Directors
Tale led off the second bend and pulled out a little more from
the last bend. Blue
Rizzler faded on the run in. Monte
Alban was forced to check at the 3rd and kept on for third.
Denwood
Star broke smartly and led up in the A1.Special
Deal grabbed the lead at the 3rd and went on to hold Shelbourne
Ryan to 3/4 of a length. Shelbourne
Ryan broke slowly and showed some decent pace down the back
straight and held every chance. Denwood
Star checked up and faded after being outpaced.
Rockchase
Alice made all to land the final race, as S2. Eye
Onthe Flyer kept on for second. Mystical
Chief fought on the run in. Fionntra
Lisa eased at the bends.
