3.30 Lingfield - KIDS ARE
ALWAYS HAPPY @ PONTIN'S HANDICAP (D4) (4YR +) 6f Standard.
1. Lucayos Trail blazer who
can often be hard to peg back if getting a easy lead and has ran
numerous good races around this track in the past. Won at a better
class of race he is well suited to the polytrack around Lingfield
and despite shouldering top weight isnt without chance if not taken
on which with Misaro and Lethal in the race they are likely to set
it up for a closer in this handicap.
Tissue price 8/1
2. Bellech Has the class to
take this sprint in what is a exposed field of handicap sprinters on
the all weather. With much in his favour, he is likely to take all
the beating from this current mark, having won nicely last time out
in a similar sort of race. Suited by the jockey and has the pace to
aim, which is a big bonus for a horse that possesses a turn of foot.
With lucky in running, he should go very close to following up.
Tissue Price 15/8
3. Buxton Has ran many time
at this level and failed to really create much impression, hard to
win with he finally came good last time out to win a low class
handicap here last time out and given that he is quite high up in
the handicap he isnt likely to follow up unless the win has sparked
something to make him progress after being labelled a dodge pot.
Tissue price 9/1
4. Lethal has potential to
be better then these and may show it today but needs to prove that
he is back to his best after some moderate performances so far on
the all weather and may be best when dropped a further few pounds of
his back. Represents a strong stable who do well with there runners
on the all weather and market support should be noted as he has the
ability to win this in good fashion.
Tissue Price - 6/1
5. Hello Man One of the
more lightly raced handicappers in this field, but is very much
exposed as knowing how good he is over this trip on this course and
needs to find improvement to land this handicap or hope that better
quality sprinters fail to give there running. Quite consistent the
weight receipt will help his cause today and he doesnt come here in
to bad form having won two runs back. The run under a weight rise
last time he finished in a bunch finish at Kempton and may just be
handicapped up to his best at this level.
Tissue Price - 10/1
6. Misaro Likely to cut
across and get involved in a speed dual in a race that has 3
potential front-runners from the wider draws. On his day can be
quite special and hard to peg back, but he does need to have it all
his own way up front and given that there doesnt seem to much in
his favour today and still looking for some form he is best passed
over.
Tissue Price 20/1
7. Sand Cat Tumbling down
the handicap despite running with consistency he is weighted to go
close today having achieved decent form at a higher level then this
and looks the chief threat to the likely favourite in my eyes. Has
decent form recently with eye catching run behind Bonnie Prince Blue
and Neardown Beauty who were both well handicapped on old form and
could well be ready to strike today.
Tissue Price 5/1
8. Muktasb Gets quite a
hefty weight cushion from all the runners today and should have the
race run to suit with plenty of pace on. Drawn on the rail he may
need to come around the houses to land this prize to in which he is
the least classiest in this race but consistent at this level and
comes here with form against the favourite on better terms but
struggled last time out to carry on his running to form. Better
expected here despite being out of the handicap.
Tissue Price 8/1
Tissue Bellench 15/8, Sand Cat 5/1, Lethal 6/1, Muktasb,
Lucayos 8/1, Buxton 9/1, Hello Man 10/1, Misaro 20/1.
Verdict
Bellench is likely to take all the beating and should follow
up under a 4lb penalty for beating Muktasb, who is most feared,
along with Sand Cat, who has form in better races then this and is
coming into a half decent class 4 sprint full of exposed types.
Lethal should be watched in the market.
Selection
Bellench 4pts win @ 2-1 (11-4BF)
Best of luck all
Well Chief
