3.30 Inkerman London Handicap Class 3 (3yo+ 0-95) 6F Good to firm
1 Beaver Patrol Winner of a big race handicap on 2000 guineas
day and has run with credit on quite a few races this season despite
the 6lbs penalty, including when a close up 5th in the stewards cup
a couple of runs back. Sent of a strong favourite at Windsor last
time he ran into a very well handicapped rival who benefited from
having the running rail to help him fend of all challengers, the 3rd
from that race has gone in since in eye catching style and even the Kiddykid who reposes today on 2lb better terms has ran with credit.
Top weighted in this handicap the galloping 6F on speedball ground
should have him running with credit yet again of the same mark.

2 Greenslades Ran well behind Golden Dixie at Goodwood just
the other week and has the services of Ryan Moore today in a bid to
record first victory since May 2006, looks like he is starting to
come back to nearing his best and is well handicapped on the best of
his own form so a little bit more of his old self will have him in
with a chance in this handicap. Any rain would help, as his best
performances have been with give in the turf and currently holds a
0-1 record on ground that has firm in the going description.
Newmarket in the autumn may be the best time to catch him and if not
he could be well handicapped for the start of next season with
spring ground.
My Tissue Price 10/1
3 Genki The improving handicapper in the field and one that
could find further improvement having bolted up last time at Ascot
on ground that will be similar to todays going. Runs with credit
when there are ease in the ground but on top of the ground his
performances are closer to heritage handicap form. 7lbs rise for the
defeat King Apostle who has won in good style since in a similar
handicap to this, will only help further his claims at following up
despite the penalty for that victory. Taking on older horses for the
second time he should do better then the run at Pontefract when
beaten by mud lark Bel Cantor.

4 Ceremonial Jade A solid 2nd latest to the Bunbury cup
winner Giganticus on quick ground, which was a massive improvement
on the average run at the glorious Goodwood meeting where he was
dropped 4lbs in weight for the Newmarket run. Been contesting some
decent races this term at big meetings he has been found out as
slightly below his current handicap mark at that level and this
easing in opponents should help him along. The drop in trip is
surprising as he has a race at this level over 7f of his revised
mark and maybe connections are looking at the Ayr gold cup as a
potential late season target for this 4yo and its a case of seeing
how he gets on today.

5 Barney Mcgrew Winner over 7F at Goodwood back in June and
has gone on to win again over six furlongs at the stiff July course,
suited to around 6.5F on a course such as Newbury this could be a
potentially to quick 6F for the horse, who is usually produced right
at the end of his races over 6F and 7F and this flat galloping 6F in
my mind may be a bit to sharp. Beat Curtail last time that is
becoming frustrating he needs to improve on that form to win this
better standard of handicap off an extra 4lbs in weight and could
potentially be at his best with some cut in the ground.
My Tissue Price 9/1
6 The Kiddykid 0-4 at this track with the most recent effort
being very disappointing over 7F behind Lovelace and seems to be
regressing rather quickly this season. Finished behind Beaver Patrol
again at Windsor despite the 15lbs turn around in the weights from
the Stan James stakes at Newmarket where he finished 3.5L behind.
Suited to the conditions and the trip his speed seems to have gone
these days and seven furlongs that he ran with credit over at
Chester last time may be his more preferred trip these days.
My Tissue Price 12/1
7 Obe Gold another highly regressive sprinter whose last win
came 22 runs ago back in February 2006. Dropped down the handicap to
19lbs lower then that career high mark in Dubai, he has shown little
form until recently running well against Tamagin at Newmarket in
which the handicapper was harsh enough to rise him 4lbs back up in
the weights. Ran a creditable race at Windsor behind Beaver Patrol
and the Kiddykid last time of that revised mark but never looked
comfortable against those rivals and even though dropped back down
2lbs it is hard to see him reversing the form around, even though
the Channon yard are at the top of their game.
My Tissue Price 16/1
8 Go On Be A Tiger The second string for Mick Channon looking
at the odds published in the racingpost. Beaten a long way at
Newbury in which he beat home the kiddykid (3lb worse off) but was
never in contention in that race and only beat that rival due to him
not getting home in the conditions. Yet to be anywhere near his best
form which he showed on debut over a mile at this track. Returned
this season over middle distances, which he flopped at and it wasnt
until contesting a small field mile event that he produced his form
again in May going close in a fairly moderate conditions stakes
where the main rivals didnt perform. Last at the July meeting and
not much better last time he needs to improve and on breeding maybe
this 6F might do the trick but is best watched.
My Tissue price 20/1
9 My Gacho Seems best at Thirsk in which he returned this
season to run out a very narrow winner over the old boy Bahamian
pirate over 6F and has yet to produce a performance of that level in
the 3 runs since, Most of his best performances have come at the
lower level of handicaps over 6F, but his personal best on seasonal
reappearance gives him a chance at this level on ideal ground
conditions. Dropped in the weights to 1lb lower then that winning
mark, David Barron has booked the services of Jamie Spencer for the
ride today and could just do the trick for the horse. Ran once at
the track when 5L 2nd to Intrepid Jack in a 3yo race in which that
classy rival won with ease. Different trainer and has claims from
the foot of the weights.
My tissue Price 7/1
Tissue Genki 11/4, Beaver Patrol 7/2, Ceremonial Jade 6/1, My
Gacho 7/1, Barney Mcgrew 9/1, Greenslades 10/1, The Kiddykid 12/1,
Obe Gold 16/1, Go On be a tiger 20/1.
Verdict
The usual kind of sprint handicap that you associate with the track
and there is two potential improvers in the field in go on be a
tiger and the likely favourite Genki who is highly progressive, of
the older brigade Ceremonial jade may be the best hope of finding
improvement to heritage handicap status with his first attempt over
sprint distances. My Gacho of the exposed brigade is interesting at
the foot of the weights but in Beaver Patrol you have a proven
heritage handicapper already who is as good as ever and in this
field should be very disappointing if he cant make his presence
felt.
