Hamburg SV vs
Energie Cottbus. Saturday 14:30
Hamburg may have slipped up against Northern rivals Werder Bremen
last week, but Huub Stevens' side should have no problems getting
back to winning ways against Energie Cottbus.
Quotes of 1/3 are of little interest, however there looks to be a
touch of value on the correct score markets. Victor Chandler go 7/1
about a 1-0 home victory. With the 2-0 scoreline being layed at 7.8
on Betfair, there's an opportunity for a nice value perm. Hamburg
had a testing assignment in Zagreb on Wednesday, and may just feel
the effects in the latter stages this afternoon. It was surprising
to see Stevens field a strong line-up in the UEFA Cup, given the
comments he made about having to face Werder less than 48 hours
after beating Rennes last week.
Cottbus are a poor side on the road, and it would be a minor
shock if they were to penetrate Hamburg's notoriously stingy
defence, considering they have failed to score in five of seven away
games. In addition, their influential midfielder Stanislav Angelov
is injured, which is a huge blow to the visitors' attacking
intentions. The basement side have, however, tightened up
defensively since the 6-0 beating in Munich, and should be able to
frustrate Hamburg long enough to make things interesting.
Recommendation: 1 pt Hamburg to win 1-0
@ 7/1. Victor Chandler. 1 pt Hamburg to win
2-0 @ 7.8. Betfair.
