European Football
Preview - 16 Sep 2007
Goals could be in short supply
in Santander.
Without going into too much detail, it could be worth looking at
the goals markets in the Racing Santander-Levante fixture this
afternoon.
Racing have opened the season with two draws, but will be
overjoyed to come away unbeaten from two tough assignments with
Barcelona and Real Zaragoza. The Barca result would have been
particularly pleasing as they restricted Rijkaard's men to very few
chances, and didn't appear to be overly stretched after being
reduced to ten men midway through the second half. It's still early
days but defensively, Racing look even stronger than last season.
Levante are yet to find the target, but did at least get off the
mark with a goalless draw at home to newly-promoted Murcia last time
out. The clean sheet will have been a welcome tonic after the
beating they took in Mallorca, however it looks as though goals
could prove difficult to come by this season. They will need to show
more spark to penetrate a tough Racing backline.
Rather than take prohibitive prices about Under 2.5, look to
Expekt's 'both sides to score' market. We can get 9/10 that either
side fail to score. I think Bet365 have this market pretty much
spot-on offering 8/11. Expekt are out of line.
Racing Santander v Levante. Sunday 16:00.
Recommendation: 5pts Either side not to
score at 9/10. Expekt.
